BB Auto Charger Quickun - anybody got one?

Postby george of the jungle on Wed Oct 14, 2009 12:06 pm

I've bought this bb auto loader to take away the pain of loading Systema mid-caps. Anybody got one?

It'll load about 50-60bb's into a systema mag in about 5 seconds, just wondering if there was any way to "torque" the motor up so it loaded 100bb's. I've heard Swampy talking about an auto loader before, was it based on this? If so, how does he get it to load more than 50 bb's?

By the way, you can stop whispering now, the M16 is back and (seems) to be working okay...Yaaayyy!! 8)

nice one

look on the swedish systema site its an owners site and the guy glued a loader with the red mag cap you get into a peli case and filled it up with like 5000 bb's. cut a hole in the bottom of a dump pounch and thats his speed loader. think he only carried 4 mags as a result. will try to find a link.

other than that i use a normal speed loader

I'm gonna try making a loader for midcaps shortly, got a plan to use a partly-knackered hicap.
The plan is to take the clockwork bits out (bar the antir-eversal latch), put a winder key into the bb feed cog and use that to manually force bbs up the feed tube, at the top i'll stick in a short bit of tube to feed the bbs from one mag to the other - if it works well i'll look at some way to clamp them togeather for the process.
Turning a key should be less of a blag than fighting with a speedloader.

Just a footnote to this...

I stripped the unit down, shimmed and greased the gears (they hadn't been installed properly) and it now fully loads a Systema magazine in about 10 seconds (about 110rds). I used it this weekend and it makes using mid-caps a breeze. So much so, I may even switch to mid-caps for my M4 as well...

I got it from a Spanish guy on eBay called gamileg, here's the link:

When you get it, they're supposed to stop feeding once the mag is full (that brass ring pushes the mag off the switch). If it doesn't do that, you'll have to strip it down and re-align all the gears. It's not hard (once you've figured out where the cogs go!!) and there aren't any springs or anything to go "sproing" once you open it. My tip is to take photos as you're disassembling it, makes it easier to put back together...
