WE baby hi-capa 3.8 (silver)

First impressions:

out of the box the gun feels solid and suprisingly heavy for its size. Most parts of the gun are metal apart from the grips which look a bit too shiney. packaging is nothing flash but who cares anyway.

Loading and firing:

Loading the mags can be pretty annoying as they dont work well with speedloaders. i managed to fit 25 rounds into the mag which is about as much as you can get in. The gun will fire all 25 rounds off with one injection of gas. however i did get 1 of 2 missfires after the mag didnt feed properly, although this is becoming less frequent after more rounds are put through it. I get around 240-250fps which seems low but is easily enough for close-quarters.

Asthetics:

The gun feels good to hold and is very compact. the blowback is powerful for its size and makes a nice noise when fired. A mini ris-rail is built into the gun for additional torches or lazers.

Final thoughts

Overall i would say that for the price its definitly a bargain and makes a change from glocks, 1911 models.

Skirmished the gun properly today. having no jams or missfires. gun is running smoothly. Only main concern is the mag. i run out of gas before BB's. Not an expert with pistols but might be a good idea buying some new mags to see if they are more gas efficient.

Accuracy:

gun has been very accurate using the iron sights. going to ditch the attatched laser as it goes all crap and switches off due to the blow back. probly just use it to shine at police helicopters instead :D

WE pistols are gas gobbler's due to the slide being very heavy and the internal's being a bit pant's most airsoft forum's have lot's of people posting with issue's with them  .
Like humble said keep the mag as warm as possible.
remember the faster you shoot it the more the gas expands and cool's down which is why it will not empty a full mag.
The one i had was a pile of poo so i got rid of and bought a TM 4.3 high cappa works perfectly and i can empty the mag twice on one fill of gas :D

i've got a we hi capa 5.1 and get 2 mags from 1 filling of gas, i got it before i started airsoft and as mick says they are big and heavy and i'd probably wouldn't buy one now for skirmishing, in fact the one i have has never been used for skirmishing i just use it at home for plinking

they do make good plinker's but i never really trusted the one i had to skirmesh with it as if you fired it to quickly the power drop's off after a couple of shot's and it would stop firing

I have the same pistol and I love mine. Never had one problem with it. Has an impressive kick but I run mine on red gas.

The other week i left my mags on the back shelf of the car in sun and it was nearly get the same range as my rifle.

Great little pistol the only thing i am finding is it is hard to find a decent drop leg for it.

i use 5.1 mag's in my 4.3 which you can try in your's see if they work and these 3.8 do work well with stonger gas or even green on a warm day but are effected by cool down badly with any gas that would run a tm pistol well.

We tried Putting 4.3/5.1 mags in Rookie's we 3.8. They fit and feed fine but are too long for the 3.8's grip by about 1/2 inch

I'd agree with all the comments here, the gas lasts a couple of mags on mine but the cooldown is a lot quicker than other guns.

You should find green gas lets you use it fine on a hot day, but when it's cooler (say 12c and below) it'll struggle with being fired quickly. I once used some of Fleet's red gas and it greatly helped during cooler climates, wouldn't use it when it is hot though, unless you're a die-hard Sin City fan.
