Silencer and Adapter

Postby Mummy on Sun Jul 26, 2009 9:41 pm

Hey all.

I know there is no real reason why i should get a silencer but i have always been fond of them (not in that way).

I have bought my first pistol (GBB) which is a WE 4.3 hi-capa from here for use as a side arm and the pistol only games. I found this and was wondering if anybody might know what "some modification" might mean.

Alternatively, if you have any other solutions it would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Mummy/Keyser

"some modification"

You'll need to cut a thread for the adapter into the outer barrel of your 4.3.

Just give the guys at LWA a call & they will confirm what you need to do.

normally you would have to replace the outer barrel with one that is threaded to except a silencer, not sure were you might get one but try the big HK retailer as this is were all UK retailer get their stock from

If you mean this picture?

It's not threaded (unless WE have seriously improved the product over the TM version) it has grooves molded in to represent the grooving of the barrel. If you want to fit your adaptor you will have to cut a screw thread into the barrel in the section the picture shows. Easy if you have the correct tool almost impossible if you don't.

If you really want a suppressor I'd send your barrel to Elite and get them to modify it for you or look for a TM aftermarket barrel though you'll probably have to make do with an external thread if you go that route.
